About India: It's a sub-continent of Asia. Although it's next to Asia and is part of Asia. It's highest mountains called Mount Everest thats separates India from Asia. It looks like diamond hanging from the bottom of the Asia. Thats why India is separated from Asia.
Ancient India Geography: Civilization
First civilization began in Indus and Ganges river 5,000 years ago, the civilization was built near to the river. The rivers were used for farming crops and food. They were the first civilization to have Drainage system, such as sewers and etc. Then the city grew and it's became largest city, and the houses were no different from modern day. However it was different. It had no windows and had flat roof made out of sand brick which is used to dry crops.

This civilization had 2 great cities called Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro (shown above). It had big wall which is a fortress to guard the cities residents. The wall is made out of brick. Almost the whole civilization is made out of brick.
But this great civilization came to end at 1500 B.C, historians says that the civilization must have faced natural causes such as earth-quake, and some floods. Then the river changed it's way of bringing water. It killed many residents and people, forcing some people to flee. This is when the war-like people called Aryans started to come to India, they began to bring changes such as caste system and started making tribes and etc.

Let's just say the climate is very humid. People used flat roof, and all houses had no window, since there were no modern technology to dry something, so they used heated roof to dry the crop with just power of the sun. Houses used think walls to keep the people cool in the hot summer. Sometimes, the settlement of the civilization is near to Mount Everest, therefore it may not be hot everytime, but however this is vise-versa.
